Jeremy Roach, a Duke transfer, is being looked at by several teams. Regardless of which team he ends up on, they are going to succeed mainly because of his superior leadership skills.
While many teams deserve a shot at acquiring the Duke player, there are a specific four that should look at Jeremy Roach closely.
1) USC Trojans
Roach has comfortability within the Trojan family. His former head coach is now part of the USC organization. USC needs Roach because teammate Clark Slajchert does not have enough size for a off-ball role. That’s where Roach comes in by stepping up and having to play real defense on some off-ball guards.

2) Virginia Cavaliers
Since Roach is from Virginia, it would only make sense to consider a team from his home state. Virginia Tech lost a lot of its’ players during the transfer portal leaving the Cavaliers ready to welcome Roach with open arms. Additionally, their lead guard is going to be gone after four seasons as a starter leaving a spot wide open for Roach to join and show out with his leadership skills and overall talent as a player. It doesn’t hurt that the coach is Tony Bennett, one of the top head coaches in NCAA Basketball.
3) Arkansas Razorbacks
This past season, Roach had one of his best games against Arkansas. Although Roach was the opposition, the Razorbacks have no guards on the roster, allowing Jeremy Roach to slide right in. Now is the perfect time to acquire Roach as Arkansas is rebuilding their roster. A lot of players left with previous coach as the Razorbacks welcome in John Calipari. With a new coach and the exiting of key players, playing time would be easily available to Roach.
4) Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky’s coach has his eyes set on, Jeremy Roach. Last season, Roach averaged 14 points and 3.3 assists while shooting 42.9% from three. With Roach being an “excellent shooter”, he will be a perfect match for Coach Pope’s pass and shoot offensive system.
