The Charlotte Hornets are a mess. Charlotte (8-28) is on pace to have its worst season since 2004-05, when they finished the season with an 18-64 record.  The Hornets have lost four straight and 15 of 16 as they head into tonight’s contest against the Miami Heat.  Four of the last five losses have been by double figures. The Detroit Pistons knew Cade Cunningham wouldn’t be available for tonight’s home contest against the Sacramento Kings. But now the Pistons officially know the extent of the 22-year-old’s injury. In a press release earlier today, the team announced that Cunningham is dealing with a left knee strain and will be re-evaluated in about seven-to-10 days. Indiana  Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton will likely miss some time after being forced to exit Monday night’s 133-131 win over the Boston Celtics in the first half due to a left hamstring strain. With 3:12 remaining in the second quarter, Haliburton beat Derrick White to the hole off the dribble.
