We have our first upset of the Sweet 16. This came in the form of No. 6 Clemson Tigers taking down the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats in an entertaining encounter that saw the underdogs booking their place in the next round.
This was without a doubt a monumental win for the Tigers, but it is clear that they’re in no mood to let this epic run come to an end anytime soon.
Clemson Tigers Coach Brad Brownell’s Blunt Reminder to Team
As expected, the Tigers were completely hyped in the locker room as they celebrated their win. Head coach Brad Brownell joined in on the festivities, but he was also quick to remind his players of what’s to come:
“Enjoy the hell out of this for a little while, but we didn’t come here to win one,” he said.

Leave no doubt, indeed.
Clemson will now await the winner of No. 1 North Carolina and No. 4 Alamaba, who are currently battling it out right now to claim their spot in the Elite 8.
The Tigers will be the underdogs regardless of who they end up facing in the next round, but as Coach Brownell said in his stirring post-game message, Clemson isn’t going to be settling for a participation medal here. They’ve gotten to the big dance and they have every intention of making their mark.
