Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell was out of action again on Monday against the Indiana Pacers. This is after the five-time All-Star suffered a nasal fracture, which apparently, will now force him to miss even more time.
Mitchell is no longer eligible for any individual award at the end of the season after failing to meet the league’s minimum of 65 games played. Right now, though, this is the least of Cleveland’s concerns.
Cleveland Cavaliers Star Donovan Mitchell Undergoes Procedure

NBA guru Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that Mitchell will miss at least another week of action after undergoing a procedure to address his latest injury:
“Cavs’ Donovan Mitchell had a procedure for a nasal fracture and will be re-evaluated in one week,” Shams reported.
The Cavs have a tough stretch of games ahead, starting with a showdown against the Miami Heat on Wednesday. Matchups against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Heat (for a second time), and the Charlotte Hornets are all on the slate as well in the coming week. Mitchell will miss all four of those games, and possibly beyond.

Mitchell’s latest knock does not come at an ideal time for Cleveland as they fight for positioning out in the East. They are currently third in the conference but are just one game behind the Milwaukee Bucks. At the same time, only 2.5 games separate them from the fifth-seeded Orlando Magic.
Apart from Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Max Strus remain sidelined for the Cavs as their injury woes continue.
