With the Cleveland Cavaliers missing Jarrett Allen due to an upper-body injury, Cavs big man Evan Mobley put on an inspired show Thursday night to help his team score a 118-94 road win against the Boston Celtics.
Mobley was fantastic all game long. He concluded the night with 21 points and 10 rebounds plus two blocks and a steal, while making nine of his 15 attempts from the field. He was so good in the game that he managed to become the youngest Cleveland player to put such a sterling stat line in a playoff game since LeBron James.

The Cleveland Cavaliers Need Evan Mobley to Sustain his Form
Winning a game agains the Celtics only guarantees the Cavs that they won’t get swept in the series. But that’s not their goal. With the Cavaliers gaining momentum, they will look to shock the Celtics again in Game 3 at home on Saturday. Mobley, of course, will be a man to watch, especially after an inspired performance.
“I feel like my teammates do a good job of keeping my head up and keeping me level-headed,” Mobley told reporters during the postgame press conference.
So far in the playoffs, Mobley is averaging 13.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor.
