Sunday’s showdown between the Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets turned out to be an absolute spectacle. Neither team was willing to give an inch to their opponents as they battled it out to the death.
Only one side could prevail, though, and thanks to the incredible heroics of Kyrie Irving, it was the Mavs who escaped with a stunning 107-105 victory.
Dallas Mavericks Star Kyrie Irving Sinks Nuggets
Naturally, all the build-up to this high-profile contest centered around the matchup between superstars Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic. As expected, both players stepped up to the plate, with Doncic, in particular, going off yet again with a game-high 37 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and five triples.
In the end, however, it was Irving who stole the show for Dallas with his awe-inspiring left-handed buzzer-beater to sink the defending champs at the last second:

In case you were wondering, Kyrie is right-handed, so the fact that he drained a running hook shot to beat the buzzer with his off-hand is truly mind-blowing. He did that over the outstretched arms of Jokic as well.
WILD.
Luka Donic Left Shell-Shocked
Irving’s game-winner was so amazing that even Doncic himself had to take a second to let that sink in. Luka was seen with his hands on his head as he attempted to comprehend what he had just witnessed from Irving:

After being able to collect himself, Doncic rushed to Kyrie and the rest of their teammates to celebrate a momentous victory over the 2023 NBA champs.
What a ballgame.
