The writing was already on the wall as Klay Thompson might have played his last game with the Golden State Warriors after their Play-In loss to the Sacramento Kings. The thing is, there’s another team waiting on the wings, ready to offer the Splash Brother a lot of money to play for them.
Just recently, the Sacramento Kings dismantled GSW via a 118-94 win over the Stephen Curry-led team. Sophomore Keegan Murray came up big in that crucial game by dropping 32 points on 61 percent shooting from beyond the arc, nine rebounds, and two assists. De’Aaron Fox made 24 points, while Domantas Sabonis contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds.
GSW, on the other hand, played like their season wasn’t on the line. Curry led the Dubs with 22 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a single block in 36 minutes on the court. Draymond Green had 12 points, while Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody each had 16 points from the bench.
Perhaps the most frustrating guy on the court for the Warriors was Thompson himself. In 31 minutes, the Splash Brother missed all of his 10 field goal attempts and only made four rebounds and one assist. His performance has shown how far he has fallen from his prime.
Orlando Magic Named as Klay Thompson’s Likeliest Landing Spot After Disappointing Season With Golden State Warriors
While Thompson’s fate with the Dubs is still unknown, the Orlando Magic can be the All-Star shooter’s new home next season. In a post shared by Bet Online on X:

Thompson is on the final year of his $43 million contract signed back in 2019. GSW’s front office is expected to either hand a watered-down offer to the four-time NBA champion, or allow him to walk away in free agency. The Magic, on the other hand, can offer a lot of money and a significant role due to a need for three-point shooting in the lineup.
Whether Thompson remains a Warrior or not will be known in the coming months. What’s certain, though, is that Golden State will face a tough challenge regarding one of the best player to ever suit up for the franchise.
