Have we seen the last of the triumvirate of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green playing together for the Golden State Warriors? After such a bad loss at the hand of the Sacramento Kings on the road Tuesday night, many are left wondering whether the Warriors would still have the three stars wearing Dubs threads next season.

While the future of the Warriors’ Big Three is a little hazy at the moment, Curry made it clear how much he wants to still play with his basketball brothers.
“I can never see myself not with those two guys. I understand this league changes and there’s so many things that go into it. … I know they want to win and I want to win. That’s all I’m worried about,” Curry said after the Warriors lost to the Kings, 118-94 (h/t Ben Golliver of the Washington Post).
Curry paced Golden State against the Kings with 22 points but did not get much support from his teammates. As a team, the Warriors shot just 41.3 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from the 3-point area, while Sacramento was hot from deep all game long.
Curry is not going anywhere else, as his current contract with the Warriors runs until the end of the 2025-26 NBA season. Green is signed until the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign, but will the Warriors entertain the idea of trading him to get younger (or prepare for a rebuild)? Thompson probably has the biggest question mark among the three, as he doesn’t have a contract beyond this season.
Thompson had a brutal performance against the Kings, as he finished with zero points on a 0/10 shooting from the floor. It surely was not the kind of farewell game he’d like to have with the Warriors, but will Golden State re-sign him in the offseason? Or, will they let him walk away?
It is going to be a long offseason for the Warriors, who seem to have big decisions to make in the summer. With a roster with aging stars and future Hall of Famers, Golden State got a harsh realization in the loss to the Kings about the inevitable fate of every great team and dynasty in pro sports — that it is not forever.
