It was a double whammy for the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. They lost a close encounter to a surging Chicago Bulls side, 125-122, which brought them crashing back down to earth following Wednesday’s 35-point win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
To make matters worse, Stephen Curry exited the game with a little less than four minutes due to a concerning ankle injury.
Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Rolls Ankle Vs. Bulls

Curry sustained the injury late in the final period after rolling his right ankle pretty badly as he was driving to the basket. Steph looked like he was in considerable pain and he was forced to leave the game to get the ankle checked in the locker room:

Ouch. That’s a scary sight for Warriors fans everywhere, especially considering how the former back-to-back All-Star has had a long and well-documented history of ankle injuries.

Coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters after the game and the four-time NBA champion shot-caller was unable to provide a substantial update on his superstar’s status moving forward:

Klay Thompson, on the other hand, did not sound optimistic at all as he shed some light on his backcourt partner’s injury:

The Warriors should be able to provide more clarity on Curry’s injury on Friday once he gets some tests done on the ankle. For now, Dubs fans will just have to hope and pray for the best.
