The Los Angeles Clippers did not put up much of a fight on Wednesday night. LA had all the momentum on their side in this series after coming up with a huge road win against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4. As such, the Clippers were expected to take care of business at home in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead.
Except that they didn’t.
Los Angeles Clippers News: Mavs Troll Job Backfires

Interestingly enough, a billboard ad right outside Crypto.com Arena went viral ahead of Wednesday’s contest. Travel agency Skyscanner decided to promote direct flights from Dallas to Cancun, Mexico, which was a clear jab aimed at the Mavs.
This ad for Dallas to Cancun flights is outside of Crypto arena before the Mavs vs Clippers game.

The Clippers had their worst game of the series on Thursday at home as they watched Luka Doncic and the Mavs demolish them, 123-93. To say that this ad backfired would be a huge understatement.

Clippers Clowned on Twitter

To be fair, the Clippers came out with an official statement denying any involvement in the ad. It was even reported that the billboard was taken down before Game 5 tipped off.
All this didn’t matter on social media, though, especially after seeing the Clippers lose in such embarrassing fashion on Thursday night.

At this point, it seems like the Clippers are the ones who are going to be flying from Dallas direct to Mexico should they lose on Friday in Game 6.
