Dallas Mavericks news: The job is not finished. This is the message Luka Doncic came out with after the Mavs shocked the Los Angeles Clippers with an unexpected 123-93 blowout win at the Crypto.com Arena in Game 5.

The Mavs are now just one win away from booking their place in the next round against the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder, and Doncic just wants to make sure that his team keeps their eyes on the prize.

Doncic entered Wednesday’s contest with a sprained knee and an illness. He looked perfectly fine, though, finishing with a game-high 35 points on 14-of-26 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, 10 assists, a steal, and two triples in 39 minutes of action.

After the game, Luka acknowledged te gravity of this road win. However, it is clear that the five-time All-Star is completely focused on closing this series out come Friday night:

“Today I think was a very big game,” he said. “… We gotta go back to Dallas (and) play the same way. We know our fans are gonna be amazing at home. We just gotta win one more. We didn’t do nothing yet.”

For his part, Clippers head coach Ty Lue got brutally honest about Doncic torching his team in Game 5. According to the LA shot-caller, they have been anticipating this type of performance from the Mavs superstar:

“We knew at some point, Luka was going to have a Luka game,” Lue said, via Farbod Esnaashari of SI.

The bad news for the Clippers is that the Luka game came at the most inopportune time. Then again, this series is far from over, which means that LA is also going to be coming out with a vengeance in Game 6.
