The Los Angeles Clippers have just pulled off one of the most amazing comebacks of the season on Sunday after erasing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 26-point second-half lead. This was thanks in large part to another amazing performance by Clippers star Paul George, who also happened to hit the game-winner to complete LA’s stunning 120-118 come-from-behind win at the Crypto.com Arena.
Los Angeles Clippers News: Paul George Saves the Day Vs. Cavs
On a night that Kawhi Leonard was sidelined due to a knee injury, it was up to George to carry his team against a Cleveland side that was looking to avoid its third straight defeat. PG understood the assignment and he stepped up in a major way.
George finished the win with a game-high 39 points on 10-of-24 from the field, to go along with 11 rebounds, seven assists, a steal, a block, and three triples in 44 minutes of action.
There is no doubt, however, that his biggest deuce of the game came in the dying seconds. The nine-time All-Star hit a tough fade-away from mid-range to give the Clippers a two-point lead with 7.1 seconds remaining in the game clock:

That’s now three straight wins for LA, who have secured their grip on the No. 4 spot in the West. As of writing, the Clippers hold a 2.5-game advantage over the fifth-placed Dallas Mavericks, who are also in action on Sunday.
