Austin Reaves was a man on a mission for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. They were playing without LeBron James due to an ankle injury as they took on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum.
Reaves, and pretty much the rest of the squad for that matter, were lethargic in the opening half. They found themselves down 19 points in the fourth quarter. And then, Lakers basketball happened.
Austin Reaves Reacts to Los Angeles Lakers’ HUGE Win Vs. Bucks
Reaves went off on Tuesday night to log just his second career triple-double. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard amassed 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting, to go along with 14 rebounds and 10 assists. For good measure, Reaves also added four triples, two blocks, and just a single turnover in 48 minutes of play.
After the game, the 25-year-old sounded off on his team’s resilience against an unrelenting Bucks side:
“There’s two things you can do: you can fold and go to the next to Memphis tomorrow, or you can man up and face the challenge head-on,” Reaves said.

As Reaves stated, the Lakers could have very easily folded in this one and looked ahead to Wednesday’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, there’s just no quit in this team, with or without LeBron.
The Lakers have now improved to 40-32 after Tuesday’s win as they maintain a 2.5-game advantage over the Golden State Warriors, who also logged a win on Tuesday night. LA remains two games behind the eight-seed Phoenix Suns.
