The Milwaukee Bucks are struggling mightily right now. They are currently on the brink of losing the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference after losing their fourth straight game on Sunday against the New York Knicks.
As of writing, only 2.5 games separate the Bucks from the sixth-placed Indiana Pacers with four games remaining in the regular season. If they don’t get themselves together immediately, Milwaukee could drop significantly in the standings heading into the Playoffs.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Kendrick Perkins Slaps Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. With Brutal Reality Check
One man who has been far from impressed by the Bucks’ recent performances is ESPN broadcaster Kendrick Perkins. On Monday’s episode of NBA Today, the former NBA champ shared his brutally honest thoughts on Milwaukee’s current standing as a potential title contender.
According to Big Perk, the Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are not striking fear in the hearts of their opponents at the moment:
“Hell no,” Perkins responded when asked if he still considers Milwaukee as serious championship contenders. “… The word is out that they’re soft and their front-runners. … This team doesn’t compete, and that’s alarming.”

That’s harsh. However, based on what we’ve seen from this team over the past few games, you can’t really say that Perkins is completely wrong here.
The good news for the Bucks is that they still have time to make amends for their recent shortcomings. They will need to act fast, though, because this type of form they have been playing with of late just isn’t going to cut it in the postseason.
