Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony Edwards is out of this world. On Thursday night against the Indiana Pacers, the 22-year-old proved yet again that he is one of the elite young superstars in the NBA today with a heroic performance against the Indiana Pacers. Edwards showcased his awe-inspiring talent on both ends of the floor throughout the contest, but it’s hard to deny that his most astounding play came in the dying seconds of the ballgame.
Minnesota Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards TAKES OFF for Game-Winning Block
Edwards committed a crucial error at the end of Thursday’s contest after he missed a free throw with just 7.2 seconds remaining. The Pacers were down by just two at that point, which meant that they had a chance to either tie the game or win it after securing the rebound off of Edwards’ miss. The Timberwolves star knew that he had to make amends, so he did just that on the opposite end of the floor: https://twitter.com/WorldWideWob/status/1765929342318895594 WOW. Just wow. Thanks to Edwards’ super-human effort on that game-sealing block, the Timberwolves were able to hold on to a 113-111 victory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtVhEp4UlV4&pp=ygUTdGltYmVyd29sdmVzIHBhY2Vycw%3D%3D
Edwards came out with a statement performance on Thursday, finishing with 44 points on 18-of-35 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks, and zero turnovers in 39 minutes of action. The Wolves got some terrible news on Thursday after it was revealed that Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a potentially season-ending meniscus injury. There will be a lot of pressure on Edwards moving forward as Minnesota looks to hold on to that No. 1 seed. Based on Thursday’s masterclass, it is clear that this young man is up to the challenge.
