A horrific scene unfolded on Wednesday night during the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trail Blazers. Veteran center Bismack Biyombo suddenly collapsed to the ground during a timeout in what turned out to be quite a scare.
Oklahoma City Thunder Center Bismack Biyombo Collapses During Timeout
Biyombo wasn’t even in the game when the incident happened. He was in warm-up gear as he greeted his teammates who were heading to the bench during a timeout. All of a sudden, the 31-year-old just fell to the ground:

There was a bit of panic on the bench as his teammates and the medical staff attended to the 6-foot-8 big man, who seemed to have lost consciousness for a brief moment.
The good news here is that Biyombo was able to get up to his feet and exit to the locker room on his own accord:

You can clearly see him clutching the back of his head as he headed to the tunnel, which could indicate that he took a hit in this region as he fell to the ground.
There are no updates yet from the Thunder regarding the status of Biyombo after the game, but the vet will surely get tests done to determine what caused his sudden collapse. Hopefully, there is no serious underlying condition here.
The Thunder secured the win on Wednesday night, 128-120, as they bounced back from Monday’s 116-104 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
