After acquiring Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards last summer, many expected Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and the Phoenix Suns to win it all this year. But after a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, their two All-Stars are dropping some harsh truth on how the team is right now.
In that particular game, a Bucks team without Giannis Antetokounmpo got the 140- 129 win at the Fiserv Forum over the Suns. Leading the way for the Eastern Conference team is Damian Lillard’s 31 points on 52 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent from deep. The All-Star Game MVP also dropped five rebounds, 16 assists, and one steal in 38 minutes on the court.
On the other hand, Bradley Beal and Grayson Allen had 28 and 25 points, respectively for Phoenix. Booker added 23 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in 40 minutes on the court. Meanwhile, Durant had an off-night by only making 11 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.
By the end of the game, the Bucks have risen to the Eastern Conference’s second seed with a record of 44-24. The Suns, on the other hand, have fallen to the eight spot in the West with 39 wins and 29 losses.
Kevin Durant, Devin Booker Dropped Some Harsh Truth After Phoenix Suns Lose To Milwaukee Bucks
After the game, both Durant and Booker spoke to the media about their loss to Milwaukee. In a pair of videos posted by Duane Rankin on X:
“Grayson took my spot scoring. I had to do other shit. We got ourselves back in the game.”

“You got to understand that when teams are missing somebody who usually dominates the ball a lot, those guys are going to go out there and play free and that’s what they did.”

While Booker did his part offensively, Durant was noticeably missing when it came to that end of the court. As it stands, the Suns and their All-Star core may participate in the Play-In Tournament if they don’t find a way to rise up in the standings.
It remains to be seen what adjustment will Phoenix make in the coming days. What’s certain, though, is that there’s a chance the Suns may end up disappointing again this year.
