Sacramento is close to the heart of Phoenix Suns point guard Isaiah Thomas. After all, he spent his first few years in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings who picked him in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft. That is also why Thomas, even with just a minimal role now with the Suns, is excited to be back in Sacramento for this Friday night’s game versus his original team in the NBA.
Thomas also has one little request for Pizza Guys, which has branches in Sacramento.
“Yoooo @PizzaGuys I’ll be in sac soon. Can I get my usual lol,” Thomas posted on Tuesday evening.
Phoenix Suns Still Battling For a Top-Six Spot in the Western Conference
While Thomas is excited for Pizza Guys, he and the Phoenix Suns have their eyes on getting the job done against the Kings. The Suns are still chasing the New Orleans Pelicans for the last guaranteed playoff spot. The Suns, who are seventh in the Western Conference standings with a 47-33 record, are just a game behind the Pelicans, who are sixth with a 48-32 record. That is also why Phoenix must be interested to know how the Pellies fare this Friday against the Golden State Warriors.
Going back to Thomas, he has only played five games so far since joining the Suns on a 10-day contract last March. After inking a second 10-day contract with Phoenix, Thomas was signed by the Suns for the rest of the season, which also means he will be part of the team’s ride in the upcoming 2024 NBA Playoffs.
