Another historic night for the Spurs’ rookie center Victor Wembanyama on Monday’s 122-99 win over the Toronto Raptors. Wemby, who already leads the league in blocked shots, recorded the second triple-double of his young career. He finished with 27 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks, five assists and two steals on only 29 minutes. This is the first triple-double with blocks we’ve seen in over three years. “Definitely a player who’s unique with his size and shot-blocking ability,” Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic said after the game. “We’ve got to do a much better job of figuring out how to play against…

Last week in a loss to Fresno State, senior forward Tibet Görener hit his 162nd career 3-pointer, which broke the San Jose State University’s record for most shots from beyond the arc in school history.  Görener moved past former Spartan forward Ryan Welage on the all-time list after an easy transition three. “Seeing one of my brothers accomplish something, that makes me happy as hell,” said SJSU guard Myron Amey Jr. “Shoutout to him, cause he’s a great shooter. Dallas traded their backup center Richard Holmes and the Thunder’s 2024 first-round pick to Washington for the Wizards’ starting center Daniel Gafford despite several attempts in acquiring the former champion at small forward. Gafford is having his best year. He’s averaging 10.9 points, eight…
