The Golden State Warriors employed some unconventional tactics on Sunday against the Boston Celtics. The Dubs thought it would be a good idea to let Jaylen Brown shoot at his own will, which absolutely backfired on Golden State.
This resulted in the Celtics annihilating the Warriors en route to a 52-point blowout win, 140-88.
Boston Celtics Star Jaylen Brown Goes Full Savage on Warriors
Brown needed just 22 minutes to score a game-high 29 points. He went 11-of-19 from the field, which included 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. Obviously, the Warriors’ opting to sag off on Brown defensively was not a good decision at all.
After the game, Brown reacted to Golden State’s defensive strategy, which prompted a savage message from the All-Star forward:
“If you want to dare me to shoot, we can do that too,” Brown said.
"If you want to dare me to shoot, we can do that too."

Brown wasn’t done. He also took to Twitter to fire a stern reminder to any team out there who would dare consider taking the same approach the Warriors did on Sunday:

For his part, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla could not help but thank the Warriors for their disrespect on Brown:

Draymond Green Drops Truth Bomb on Defensive Strategy Vs. Jaylen Brown
Warriors star Draymond Green (6 points, four rebounds, two assists in just 14 minutes of play) also spoke to reporters after the game. The former Defensive Player of the Year shed some light on how the Dubs approached Sunday’s contest against Boston. Apparently, their defensive strategy against Brown and the Celtics was one that pretty much came on the fly:
Draymond Green said the Warriors implemented the strategy to sag off Jaylen Brown “like 15 minutes before we left the locker room.”
“I thought it was fun to try. I was actually all for it.”

I’m not entirely sure if “fun” would be the right word to describe Sunday’s embarrassing drubbing.
