The Golden State Warriors just suffered their biggest loss in the Stephen Curry era on Sunday night. This was after they were embarrassingly blown out by the Boston Celtics by 52 points.

Nope, there are no typos there. The Dubs really lost by such an unbelievable margin, 140-88. It was a horrendous night for the Warriors all around and naturally, the mean streets of Twitter have been having a field day over all this.

The Celtics took command of this game from the get-go. They came out firing in the first quarter, outscoring the visitors 44-22 in the first 12 minutes of action. They did not look back. By halftime, Boston had amassed an 82-38 advantage over a hapless Golden State side.

As far as massacres go, this one has to be up there with the best (or worst?) of them.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 56 points in just 25 and 22 minutes on the floor, respectively. The Warriors, on the other hand, didn’t even bother sending Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, or Draymond Green out after halftime.

Talk about a dominant win, right?

As you may have expected, this demolition job sent social media into quite a frenzy. Even at halftime, everyone knew where this game was headed:

"This is an epic butt whooping. This is so bad Kendrick Perkins needs to take off that suit… We want to apologize to the American people."

True enough, the Celtics kept their foot on the gas after the break. This resulted in Boston amazingly recording their third (!) 50-point win of the season. It also prompted a ton of savagery on Twitter:

Even two-time All-Star and Celtics icon Isaiah Thomas had to chime in. Regardless of where you’re sitting, there’s no arguing against IT’s statement here.
