NBA fans were treated to a show-stopping spectacle on Thursday night as the Boston Celtics took on the Phoenix Suns. There was no shortage of big names in this matchup, but as expected, it was Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant who took center stage for their respective teams.
In the end, it was Tatum who prevailed as he led Boston to a 127-112 victory at the TD Garden.

Tatum and Durant wasted no time getting on the board in this one as the two superstars got going early in the game. It was clear from the get-go that this was going to be a feisty duel between two of the greatest scorers this game has ever seen.

Tatum kept his foot on the gas in the second quarter to finish the half with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting.

Tatum, of course, got a lot of help from superstar teammate Jaylen Brown, who finished with a game-high 37 points on 14-of-23 shooting. Brown had another massive performance in this one, and there’s no denying that Tatum and the Celtics may have had trouble dealing with KD and Co.

Durant pretty much fizzled out after his red-hot first quarter. He ended the game with 20 points on 9-of-19 shooting. To a certain extent, the same can be said of Tatum, who scored just three points after the halftime break.
