For the second time in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics lost Game 2 of a series at home. Back in the first round, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics got ripped at TD Garden by the Jimmy Butler-less Miami Heat. On Thursday, they were taken down by the Jarret Allen-less Cleveland Cavaliers.
As usual, the stars of the losing team became a prime target of fans online. In this case, it’s mostly the pair of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum and Brown did not make it hard for their haters, as they both had inefficient performances against the Cavaliers.
Tatum finished with 25 points, but he shot 7/17. Brown made 19 points on 7/17 shooting as well. Tatum was a minus-22, while Brown had a minus-29 when it was all said and done on the court in Game 2.
Here are some of the roasting the two have gotten from the fans following the Celtics’ brutal defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers.

Where do the Boston Celtics go From Here?
It is still too early for the Celtics to be alarmed. The loss in Game 2 was a wake-up call for Boston. The Celtics can’t take anything for granted, especially in the playoffs, and Tatum and Brown have been around in the NBA long enough to know that. The two can turn things around right away in Game 3 on Saturday in Cleveland.
