In case you haven’t heard, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is great at basketball. He’s not going to blow people’s minds with athleticism, but his skill is absolutely off the charts. His playmaking is right up there with the best, and when it comes to setting up his teammates, there may not be better today in the NBA than the Slovenian.
Luka Doncic Finds Dallas Mavericks Teammate With Ridiculous Pass From The Parking Lot
Dallas Mavericks small forward Derrick Jones Jr. can attest to that, especially after he and Doncic connected in this unreal lob pass fired by Doncic from all the way back from the other side’s free-throw line during Tuesday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Folks, that is not an easy pass to make. It will never be one. But Doncic is special so makes it look as though it was just another routine dime. Except it was not. The timing, hand-eye coordination, and arm strength, not to mention the audacity to even think about it, all have to be elite for someone to nail that kind of a pass.
But let’s not also forget about Jones. He isn’t a former NBA Slam Dunk champion for nothing. Doncic probably would not have attempted such a pass if it was Maxi Kleber darting down the court.
Doncic finished the Spurs game with 18 points on an atrocious 6/27 shooting from the field but he did have 16 assists and 10 rebounds in 40 minutes. Plus, the Mavs won, 113-107. He got a highlight and the Mavericks came away with a win. It was still a great day for Doncic.
