There’s no denying the biggest name in college basketball these days is Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark. But after setting the record for most points scored in the NCAA, fans will have a harder time seeing her live on the court in the coming days.
Just recently, the Hawkeyes captured the number one seed in the NCAA Tournament. The last time Iowa reached this position was in 1992. The other number one seeds to make it this year include the South Carolina Gamecocks, which will play their first game in the tournament without Kamilla Cardoso.

Coming off their Big Ten Tournament win, Clark and the Hawkeyes are slated to play one more game at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Iowa will wait to see which team wins between Holy Cross and UT Martin. The winner will then face the Clark-led team in a televised game.
From there, the Hawkeyes may face a gauntlet of contenders in the coming weeks. If all goes according to plan, Iowa will participate in the Elite Eight, and the Final Four after that.
NCAA Games Featuring the Iowa Hawkeyes and Caitlin Clark Have Already Sold Out

Since Clark’s rise to stardom has placed more attention on the Hawkeyes, it only stands to reason that tickets to their games will be sold out at this point. This is confirmed in a tweet by Iowa Women’s Basketball on X:
“𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧
There will be no public on-sale for the NCAA First & Second Rounds in Iowa City. Both sessions on Saturday & Monday are sold out. Every ticket sold on SeatGeek is verified and trusted, and all tickets sold are backed by SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee,” Iowa’s account on X shared.
This makes sense since Clark has become such a draw in college basketball these past few months. With the Hawkeyes star about to enter the WNBA Draft, her popularity is only going to become stronger.

Fans should expect these tickets to go up, especially those sold by scalpers. In any case, the hype is truly real for Clark and the Hawkeyes.
