The Los Angeles Lakers made it back-to-back wins on Tuesday night with a crucial 128-111 victory over a hapless Toronto Raptors side. There were more than a few special moments from this victory, but there’s no denying that Jaxson Hayes’ insane dunk at the midway point of the fourth quarter is a play that deserves a lot of attention — and its own write-up, for that matter.

Hayes found himself with an open lane after a Raptors turnover in the final frame. The 7-foot big man had a lot of time to think about what he was going to do as he awaited the outlet lob pass from Taurean Prince to fall in his hands. Apparently, Hayes decided he was going to pull off something special:

It’s not every day that you see an East Bay Funk Dunk during an actual game. Well, Hayes is built like that.
After the game, an impressed LeBron James pointed out how Hayes was able to throw that one down with such ease:
“He was super casual with it, but he has that ability, obviously,” LeBron said, via Lakers Nation on Twitter.
Even Anthony Davis was left in awe by his teammate’s aerial acrobatics. As AD said, Hayes forced the entire Lakers bench off their seats after seeing his crazy dunk:
“It’s Jaxson Hayes. Very athletic,” Davis said, via Lakers Nation on Twitter. “He showed off his athletic ability tonight. It was fun. All of us got excited for that dunk, even the coaches.”
The Lakers have now improved to 43-33 with this win. They still hold a 1.5-game advantage over the Golden State Warriors, who themselves pulled off a big win against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. LA is still ninth in the West with six games remaining in the regular season.
