To say the Milwaukee Bucks have been a bad bet over their last three games would be a huge understatement. Scratch that, it would be a historic understatement.
The Bucks entered their Friday contest as massive favorites against a Toronto Raptors side that was without its top scorer Scottie Barnes.
But despite being heavily favored and playing at home, the Bucks lost 117-111 against the lowly Raptors. The result doomed Milwaukee to some rough NBA betting history.
Milwaukee Bucks Did Their Bettors No Favors Over Their Last 3 Games
The Bucks were double-digit favorites in each of their last three games — and rightly so. They were up against teams in the Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Memphis Grizzlies who are all among the bottom-7 teams in the NBA by record.
But not only did the Bucks not cover any of those games — they lost outright in each one. Milwaukee became the first team over the last three decades to lose three straight games outright despite being favored by double digits in each contest.

Milwaukee also gave up 117 points to Washington in a 6-point road defeat earlier this week. The result prompted Doc Rivers to chastise the Bucks players and staff as a whole for not taking road games as seriously.
But then they fell 111-101 against the Grizzlies at home, which preceded another home loss against the Raptors.
Doc Rivers Takes The Blame For Milwaukee Bucks’ Recent Slide
After pinning the blame on his team and supposedly “taking notes,” Rivers changed his tune on Friday during his postgame press conference. Rivers put the onus on himself for not having the Bucks ready to play over their recent stretch of games.
Milwaukee remains the second seed in the East entering Saturday’s contests. However, the team has lost five of their last six games against teams that don’t exactly represent the NBA’s elite.
The losing skid has opened up the outside chance of the Bucks losing homecourt advantage if they don’t find their footing soon.
Milwaukee may very well rebound over the final stretch of games and find their form come playoff time. But any bettors who backed the Bucks may need some more time to recover.
