Last night, the Milwaukee Bucks had a shocking 111-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies’ beat reporter Damichael Cole tweeted that “[Memphis] held Giannis Antetokounmpo to 10-23 shooting (43.5%). That is Antetokounmpo’s lowest field goal percentage since Dec. 19th against the Spurs. Major credit mainly to Jaren Jackson Jr., Brandon Clarke, Trey Jemison, and Lamar Stevens.”
The Bucks missed Lillard, who was out for his third straight game. Khris Middleton and Patrick Beverley also missed yesterday’s game. Still, the Bucks had the Greek Freak and Brook Lopez present last night.
Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 35 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block to the Grizzlies win. Gregory Jackson contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds toward the Memphis victory.
Is it time for the Milwaukee Bucks to panic?

I would think it’s time to hit the panic button. This loss follows their previous loss to the Washington Wizards on April 2nd. The Milwaukee Bucks lost to Washington 113-117. With this loss last night, the Bucks lost four of their last five. Their last win came against the Atlanta Hawks on March 30th, 122-113.
There were talks about how the All-Star Break could have helped Milwaukee reset and become a dominant force to close the season. The team is 15-15 as of today since Doc Rivers took over the Bucks as head coach.

The Bucks are currently fighting to hold their second seed from the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Orlando Magic, and the New York Knicks. With only a handful of games left in the regular season, Milwaukee can fall from the second seed to the fifth seed.
If they fall any lower, they can be in serious trouble come playoff time. They could have another embarrassing first-round playoff exit like they did with the Miami Heat in recent years. However, maybe the Bucks are planning on resting Lillard and Middleton to have them in better health for the playoffs.

They do have solid depth, which they lacked earlier in the season. Maybe it’s not time to hit the panic button yet. Besides, the Boston Celtics had the one seed on lock with a large double-digit game lead over the Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings. Boston seems like the only team that could potentially stop Milwaukee from going to the NBA Finals.
Milwaukee’s upcoming schedule
They play the Raptors on the 5th, the Knicks on the 7th, the Celtics on the 9th, and Orlando on the 10th. They then play at Oklahoma City on the 12th and close out the season at Orlando on the 14th.
