The New York Knicks will face one of the toughest opponents they’ll ever get this season on Thursday night when they head over to The Mile High City to face the reigning champions Denver Nuggets.
Naturally, the first name on the scouting report for the Knicks is two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, who will be looking to lead the Nuggets to another victory on Thursday. New York forward Josh Hart has now spilled the beans on his team’s gameplan against Jokic, and it’s probably one that most teams have employed against the six-time All-Star.
Josh Hart Spills on New York Knicks’ Nikola Jokic Strategy
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s showdown in Denver, Hart revealed that the Knicks will take a faithful approach in trying to shut Jokic down:
Josh Hart on what the Knicks can do to slow down Nikola Jokic: “Pray.”

You can always rely on Hart to come up with the most hilarious quips. Then again, there’s a bit of truth to his one-word statement here.
There’s no shutting down The Joker, and the Knicks can only hope that they can somehow slow down the 6-foot-11 center. New York will also need some divine providence with their objective here and Hart has already confirmed that they intend to turn to the high heavens for a bit of help against one of the most dominant big men this game has ever seen.
The Knicks have been on a roll of late after winning their last four games. Their hot streak will now be put to the ultimate test, though, against the mighty Nuggets, who are currently second in the Western Conference with a 48-21 record.
New York, on the other hand, will be looking to improve on their 41-27 standing as they sit 1.5 games behind the No. 3 Cleveland Cavaliers in the East.
