Trae Young will not be available for the Atlanta Hawks on Monday for their marquee matchup against the Miami Heat. The three-time All-Stra has been sidelined by a finger injury that required surgery more than a month ago.
With the Play-In Tournament fast approaching, the Hawks are hoping to get their superstar point guard back in the mix as soon as possible. The good news for them is that Young appears to be on the verge of his return.

After reports emerged that Young had been cleared to resume contact, the Hawks themselves made the official announcement via Twitter:

At this point, there is still no firm timetable for Young’s return, but it seems like he is working towards being available for the Play-In Tournament, which starts on April 16. Atlanta is headed for either a ninth or 10th place finish in the East and they will be facing the Chicago Bulls in an elimination game in the first phase of the tournament.
