On day one of the 2024 NBA playoffs, the first game to tip off was the Orlando Magic facing off against the home team Cleveland Cavaliers. Cleveland has had playoff experience, getting bounced out in round one by the Knicks last year. They were thoroughly out-played and got bullied and tossed around by a tougher and more physical team. That experience for this group is most certainly in their minds as they face-off against the Magic. Orlando doesn’t have that playoff experience, which is absolutely a factor in this series. Both teams are young though, with the Magic having an…

The Detroit Pistons are historically bad this season. With a record of 6-43, they are on pace to be one of the worst teams of all time. It isn’t likely that they only win one more game so the Charlotte Bobcats record for least amount of wins will probably stay intact, but that should not diminish just how bad the Pistons have been. It is quite surprising as well because they have a young core of extremely talented players. Many of the preseason predictions had the Washington Wizards being the worst team in the league and for good reason. They…

On Monday night against the Orlando Magic, Luka Doncic did what has come to be expected from him. He put up 45 points, 15 assists, and 9 rebounds and led his team to a win. Luka Doncic has been on fire this season, forcing himself into MVP discussions even though the media pundits seemingly don’t want him there. The Dallas Mavericks have been staying in the playoff race despite atrocious injury luck. Tonight’s game against the Timberwolves features the worst injury report yet, with Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Derek Lively all listed as out. The Mavericks are currently 7th in the western conference and only 2 games out of the 5 seed so every game matters. Being depleted against a Timberwolves team that has been dominant and at the top of the conference all season is quite unfortunate. The Mavericks need to stay healthy to compete in a loaded western conference. Derek Lively Doncic and Irving are…

The Indiana Pacers have been staying afloat with a 6-5 record since their star player suffered a hamstring injury. Tyrese Haliburton has undoubtedly become the face of a Pacers team that has desperately needed this level of talent and star power since Paul George left in 2017. Rick Carlisle has led the Pacers to a winning record over the 11 games that Haliburton missed, and now Carlisle says the star player is expected to play tonight against the Celtics. The drive to stay near the top of the Eastern Conference and make the playoffs is going to be even stronger…
