We probably haven’t seen Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry as emotionally invested in a regular-season game as he was on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. A testament to this fact is how the former back-to-back MVP appeared to be in tears after seeing Draymond Green get ejected four minutes into the opening quarter.
Curry ended up leading the Warriors to a 101-93 victory sans Green, and he had another outburst of emotion after hitting a dagger trey in the dying moments of the tightly contested affair.
Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Gets Emotional After Draymond Green Ejection
Green got himself tossed from the game after arguing incessantly with a game official early in the opening period. The Warriors veteran has already admitted that he deserved to get ejected for what he said to the referee, although he did not reveal what exactly came out of his mouth.
For his part, Curry was visibly shaken up after Green’s ejection. If you look at the replays, it even seems that the GOAT shooter had to wipe away his tears as he returned to the court:
Steph knew how important this game was for the Warriors and he was also well aware of the fact that losing Green was a tough blow for the squad. Thankfully, they averted disaster by escaping with what turned out to be their second win in two nights.
Experts Chime In
The experts over at ESPN have now chimed in on this whole situation and they believe that there’s more to this than what’s on the surface. In fact, Marc J. Spears believes that this is a manifestation of Curry’s frustrations — not just with Green — boiling over:
"I think this could be the most frustrating season of Steph's career." 😳 @marcjspears on the Warriors' struggles. pic.twitter.com/IxRJfdsYBv

Spears, along with three-time NBA champion Danny Green, then went on to argue that this reaction from Curry represents the growing disappointment of the Warriors squad toward Draymond:
Has Draymond Green lost his "allies" within the Warriors organization? 🧐 @MarcJSpears | @DGreen_14 pic.twitter.com/w4fvw5spdU

As Spears said, we shall see what happens this summer.
