The Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs treated the fans to quite a spectacle on Monday night. The Warriors managed to escape with a road win despite superstar point guard Stephen Curry being sidelined due to an ankle injury.
One of the biggest highlights of the game came late in the fourth quarter of what turned out to be a close encounter. Warriors big man Trayce Jackson-Davis threw down an unforgettable poster slam all over rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama — one that had coach Steve Kerr beaming with pride.
Golden State Warriors’ Trayce Jackson-Davis Destroys Victor Wembanyama
Jackson-Davis found himself in a one-on-one situation against Wembanyama up top, and the Warriors rookie showed absolutely no fear. Wemby has been touted as a Defensive Player of the Year contender, which speaks volumes of his defensive abilities. Well, TJD was having none of that on this particular occasion:
What made the dunk even more astounding is the fact that Wemby fell to the floor after taking the full impact of Jackson-Davis’ throwdown. You can clearly see how excited the entire Warriors bench was after watching that massive poster. In fact, even Coach Kerr could not hide the big smile on his face after witnessing all that unfold.
Steve Kerr’s Reaction Goes Viral
It’s not very often that you see that type of reaction from the four-time NBA champion coach. This just goes to show how incredible Jackson-Davis’ poster was.
Kerr’s reaction was so good that it had the mean streets of Twitter buzzing hard:

It’s safe to say that Kerr enjoyed that sequence, right? The Warriors won, 112-102.
