The Golden State Warriors’ Splash Brothers era is officially over. This is after Klay Thompson turned down the opportunity to extend his deal with the Dubs in favor of a big-money move to the Dallas Mavericks.
This is literally the end of an era for Golden State, and the other half of the famed Splash Bros duo, Stephen Curry, has now bid farewell to his former partner-in-crime.

Curry took to Instagram on Tuesday to express his gratitude to Thompson for the 13 years they played alongside each other. Steph could not help but get a little bit emotional in his farewell message to a guy who played a pivotal role in the Warriors dynasty:

This has to be tough for Warriors fans everywhere.
Curry has wished Thompson all the best for what the future holds for him. It goes without saying that the bond they built over their time together in Golden State will not be broken.
Be that as it may, you can be sure that Steph and the rest of the Warriors will now have some extra motivation to go out and defeat the Mavs the next time they battle each other on the basketball court. For his part, it’s guaranteed that the feeling will be mutual for Thompson.
Golden State vs. Dallas is definitely going to be one of the biggest highlights of the upcoming season.
