The season is virtually over for the Los Angeles Lakers. That is unless they somehow pull off one of the biggest miracles in the history of the NBA by coming back and winning their first-round series against the defending champs Denver Nuggets after going down 0-3 on Thursday night.
At this point, it comes as no surprise that there have already been signs of discontent within the squad as they face yet another early exit in the postseason.
Los Angeles Lakers News: Anthony Davis Fires Veiled Shot at Coach Darvin Ham
After LA’s Game 2 loss in Denver, superstar big man Anthony Davis came out with some controversial comments that appeared to be aimed at head coach Darvin Ham. According to the nine-time All-Star, there are certain moments in games wherein the Lakers just “know what we’re doing on both ends of the floor.”
Ham, of course, caught wind of the comments, and he reacted by saying that he understands how the “frustration sets in a little bit,” especially after such a crushing loss in Game 2. The second-year Lakers coach then ended his statement by saying that he would rather “agree to disagree” on AD’s hot take.
Draymond Green Calls Out AD
Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green did not like what he heard from Davis. In a recent episode of his podcast, the former Defensive Player of the Year did not hesitate in calling the Lakers big man out for his comments about his coach:
“I was very disappointed in AD’s statement after the game,” Green said. “… Darvin Ham was a player. Darvin Ham is a Black man. To just throw him under the bus like that, I didn’t like it. I didn’t appreciate it, I didn’t respect it.”

Green did admit that he could be a little biased considering how he considers Ham to be his “OG.” Nevertheless, you can always count on Draymond to call it as he sees it.
