Between 2011 and 2014, the LeBron James-led Miami Heat Big 3 went to four straight NBA Finals. They went 2-2 during that stretch, en route to winning two championships during the famed LeBron era in South Beach.
If you ask Boston Celtics icon Paul Pierce, however, he is adamant that LeBron, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh should have more than just two titles to show for.
Paul Pierce Gets Real on Miami Heat Big 3
Speaking on a recent episode of the All Facts No Brakes podcast, Pierce gave his brutally honest view on how the Heat changed the landscape of the NBA more than a decade ago. The Celtics legend had some pretty high praise for LeBron, Wade, and Bosh, which is why he firmly believes that they should have won more than just two chips:
“When you look at it, you had LeBron, who arguably is the GOAT. You got D-Wade, who (is) probably the third-best two-guard ever. Bosh was a perennial All-Star, all in their prime” Pierce stated.
“… I think they should’ve won three or four (championships) … I think based on where you rank LeBron, and you rank Wade, and where you put Bosh in all-time history, I think they might have underachieved. I looked at that team that highly, that’s why.”

You have to note that Pierce isn’t exactly the biggest LeBron fan out there so for his to have such high-level praise for his former adversary is truly noteworthy. The fact that the ex-Celtics superstar claims that the Heat should have won more than just two championships comes from a place of respect and admiration.
I actually wasn’t expecting that from the great Paul Pierce.
