New York Knicks news: Team USA has finalized its 12-man roster for the upcoming Olympics this summer. The biggest names have agreed to take part in the prestigious tournament as the national squad looks to make amends for last summer’s fourth-place finish in the FIBA World Cup.
Given that the squad can only accommodate 12 players, there were more than a few considerable snubs for the final roster. This includes Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson.
New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson Reacts to Team USA Snub
Brunson was one of the candidates for the 12th and final roster spot, which was eventually given to Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard. As it turns out, however, Brunson isn’t bothered very much by how he was left out of the squad. According to the Knicks point guard, he has other more important things on his mind:
“I was just focused on playoffs, I didn’t even look at the list,” Brunson said.

As Brunson said, his sole focus right now is on the NBA Playoffs after the Knicks secured the No. 2 seed in the East. It was determined on Wednesday night that they will face Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round after the Sixers took down the Miami Heat in their Play-In game.
Brunson, who was part of the Team USA squad that underperformed in the FIBA World Cup last year, is more than happy to represent the nation. However, he also doesn’t mind being left off the squad. At this point, he has some bigger fish to fry.
