Among the many surprises of March Madness this year is how the Alabama Crimson Tide overcame the Clemson Tigers to reach the Final Four for the first time. This led head coach Nate Oats to issue a strong message that will hype the team and their fans up.
In that particular game, the Crimson Tide got the 89-82 win over Clemson, thanks to the heroics of Mark Sears. The Alabama guard dropped 23 points by connecting five of his eight field goals, four rebounds, and eight assists in 38 minutes on the court. Jarin Stevenson added 19 points from the bench, while Nick Pringle made 16 points and 11 rebounds to help their team seal the deal.
Clemson, on the other hand, saw Joseph Girard III post 19 points and 2 assists to lead his team. Ian Schieffelin contributed a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while center PJ Hall tallied 14 points.
Even though the Tigers shot better from the field and committed fewer turnovers, Alabama made up for it by connecting more of their three-pointers and grabbing more boards. In the end, these factors help the Crimson Tide beat Clemson and book their ticket to a Final Four appearance this year.

Alabama’s achievement of reaching the Final Four is a big thing for the school’s program, especially after decades to failing to make an impact on college basketball. Getting a ragtag team of players and a coaching staff to guide them is also worthy of recognition.
Alabama is slated to face the UConn Huskies next in the Final Four, while Purdue and NC State go at it in the other bracket. Hopefully, the Crimson Tide can shock everyone again in the coming days.
