Iowa Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark was the biggest star during the Women’s Final Four slate Friday at State Farm Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. But her dad gave her a run for her money.
Clark and the Hawkeyes toppled the UConn Huskies in a hotly contested 71-69 affair that came right down to the wire. But right in the middle of the action, Caitlin’s dad Brent Clark stole the show with a classic dad move.
Caitlin Clark’s Dad Brent Pulled A Classic Dad Move During Iowa-UConn Final Four Game
Brent may have raised himself a superstar in Caitlin Clark. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t abide by the normal rules of being a frugal dad. Clark had social media in a frenzy after he was caught sneaking snacks into State Farm Arena.
The ESPN broadcast of the Final Four captured Brent Clark digging through the pouch in his Hawkeyes hoodie. It’s unclear what exactly Mr. Clark’s snack of choice was, but it was evident that he was munching on something good.

Every dad out there knows how ridiculous concession prices can get at any sporting event. Brent Clark’s move to sneak in some treats was probably as savvy as any on-court decision Caitlin made on Friday.
Caitlin Clark And The Iowa Hawkeyes Are Back In The Title Game
Kidding aside, Clark and the Hawkeyes did just enough to get themselves back to where they were last season.
Clark didn’t have her best game, finishing with just 21 points on 7/18 shooting and just 3 triples. She did have 9 rebounds and 7 assists as some of her teammates stepped up in key spots.
Hannah Stuelke led Iowa with 23 points on 9/12 shooting to go along with 3 rebounds. Kate Martin hit some huge shots in the clutch while UConn focused most of their attention on Clark.
With Iowa moving on the the National Championship Game against USC, all eyes will be on Clark to see if she can overcome last year’s loss on the same stage. The arena security staff may also have their eyes on Brent Clark to see if he’s smuggling more snacks in his jacket.
