Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark is expected to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, but that doesn’t mean she won’t team up against a couple of Golden State Warriors during the NBA regular season.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are back in the Final Four thanks to made threes

Clark has helped lead Iowa to a second-consecutive Final Four appearance this April. They will play UConn on Friday night. Clark recently scored 41 points to knock off LSU, the team that defeated Iowa in last year’s championship game.
Her three-point game was almost impossible to defend. Clark went 9/20 shooting threes against LSU. Her there point shot is drawing interest from the NBA.
Caitlin Clark could take on the Splash Brothers

According to Shams Charania with The Athletic, Clark is on the NBA’s short list of players the league wants to compete for the three-point contest during next year’s All-Star Weekend. On Fan Duel TV‘s “Run It Back,” Charania said that Clark could team up with Sabrina Ionescu to take on Steph Cury and Klay Thompson.
“At this point, Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu is very likely for next year. Next year’s All-Star Weekend is going to be in the Bay Area in San Francisco at Chase Center in 2025,” Charania said. “And I’m told with Caitlin Clark and potentially Klay Thompson to make it two-v-two. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the Splash Brothers. I’m told Steph Curry has specifically brought up potentially having Klay Thompson in this competition for next year.”
“Could a guy like Damian Lillard be a candidate as well to join Steph Curry,” Charania asked. “But those two guys potentially against Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark, those are all conversations that are going to continue to go on over the coming months and as we get into the 24-25 season.”

The NBA All-Star Weekend could draw extra eyeballs with Clark

Seeing Clark shoot threes against the best in the NBA would be fun. Iowa’s ratings have been high throughout the tournament, and the NBA could cash in by inviting Clark to more of its events.
