The Dallas Mavericks just keep on rolling. On Tuesday night, Luka Doncic and the Mavs won again, as they thumped the Charlotte Hornets on the road, 130-104. It was not exactly a surprising victory for the Mavericks, considering that the Hornets have not even won 20 games this season to date, but a win is a win for Dallas, which may have the perfect formula for success — sort of.
Daniel Gafford Keeps on Shining for the Dallas Mavericks
Although Doncic starred for the Mavericks again in the Charlotte game, as he finished with 39 points on 13/25 shooting, Daniel Gafford had a night himself. Gafford gathered 26 points on an ultra-efficient performance offensively, as he buried all 12 of his attempts from the field. His only misses came from the foul line (2/4).
According to StatMuse, the Mavericks are a staggering 16-1 this season when both Gafford and Doncic are starting together. As a starter this season, both with the Washington Wizards and the Mavs, Gafford is averaging 11.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 72.1 percent from the field.

Gafford seems to be a perfect fit alongside Doncic. The 6-10 big man doesn’t need the ball a lot to be effective on offense, as he mostly gets his points off of putbacks and lobs. In fact, over 80 percent of his field goals made as a Maverick thus far have been assisted.
On a four-game win streak, the Mavs will look to sustain their momentum as the playoffs draw near when they take their talents to South Beach to play the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
