The Dallas Mavericks marched on to their fourth consecutive win on Tuesday via a 130-104 demolition job of the Charlotte Hornets. Luka Doncic put up another masterpiece by amassing a 39-point triple-double to allow the Mavs to strengthen their grip on the No. 5 seed in the West.

While it was Doncic yet again who stole the show on Tuesday night, the five-time All-Star decided to give teammate Kyrie Irving his flowers during Luka’s post-game press conference.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Doncic (39 points on 13-of-25 shooting, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and eight triples) had nothing but kind words for Irving and the type of impact the latter has had on the entire squad since his arrival:

“Having Kyrie here has been a blessing,” Doncic said. “On the court, everybody knows what kind of player he is. Just off the court, he helps me a lot. Not just me, the whole team. He knows how to win a championship, he’s a very humble guy. Great guy. On the court and off the court he’s just been a blessing to be with.”

The pair has had some pretty crazy chemistry on the court, too. The fact that the Mavs have emerged as a serious title contender this season is a clear testament to this fact.

Moreover, Doncic’s production has not decreased since Irving took his talents to Dallas. In fact, Luka has a real shot of winning his first-ever career MVP title. Surely, the Kyrie factor has a lot to do with the same.
