Detroit Pistons news: If you don’t know the name Malachi Flynn, then be prepared to hear a whole lot about this dude in the coming days. This is after the 6-foot-1 point guard came off the bench on Wednesday night to come out with one of the most amazing performances you’ll ever see.

Flynn dropped a mind-blowing 50-piece all over the Atlanta Hawks, which understandably sent NBA Twitter into absolute frenzy.

Flynn was red-hot the moment he checked into the game. He did not cool down one bit.

The 25-year-old ended up scoring a career-high 50 points on 18-of-25 shooting, to go along with five triples, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals in 34 minutes off the bench.

Unfortunately, not even Flynn’s jaw-dropping performance was enough to lead the 13-63 Pistons to a win. The Hawks survived the Malachi onslaught, 121-113.

It’s not everyday that you see this type of totally unforeseen eruption from a guy who honestly, doesn’t even ring a bell for casual NBA fans. As such, it comes as absolutely no surprise that Flynn has now sent NBA Twitter into total chaos with his coming out party:

Malachi Flynn just dropped 50 POINTS off the bench 🤯🔥

I don’t know if it’s more insane that a dude averaging 4.6 points this season suddenly explodes for a 50-piece or the fact that the Pistons still lost despite Flynn’s gargantuan night.
