Thursday night featured another feisty encounter between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies. These two sides have a bit of history between them, and as expected, there was a lot of emotion riding in this latest iteration of this brewing rivalry.
It was the Warriors who secured a convincing 137-116 blowout win, but as usual, it did not come without incident.
Golden State Warriors Star Draymond Green, Desmond Bane Rekindle Old Flame
It comes as no surprise that Warriors talisman Draymond Green was once again at the center of a testy altercation during the game. After going toe-to-toe against Grizzlies big man Santi Aldama, the Dubs vet found himself in a heated confrontation with Desmond Bane. Green, however, ended up inadvertently knocking down Memphis head coach Taylor Jenkins to the ground as the former was being separated from Bane:

The Grizzlies players rushed to the court after seeing their coach get knocked off his feet, which ultimately resulted in both benches clearing.
Steve Kerr Reacts to Fiasco
After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the bad blood between the two teams. The four-time NBA champion shot-caller expressed his regret in his colleague getting involved in the fracas:
“We have a history with (the Grizzlies). It’s always very competitive,” Kerr said, via Kendra Andrews of ESPN. “… When we play them there’s usually some kind of dust up. I hated to see what happened because it looked like (Jenkins) was really hurt … he said he was fine. No harm done, but it was a scary moment.”
Thankfully, it does not seem like Coach Jenkins suffered any sort of injury after hitting the deck. Perhaps nothing more than a bruised ego?
