The Los Angeles Lakers made it two wins in two nights on Thursday after taking down the Washington Wizards in overtime, 134-131. The fans at Crypto.com Arena were treated to quite a spectacle as LA’s two superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, combined for 71 points to lead the Lakers to another victory.
As it turns out, however, one supporter who did not enjoy his time watching the Lakers on Thursday night was hip-hop royalty Lil’ Wayne.
Lil’ Wayne Blasts Los Angeles Lakers for Poor Treatment During Game

Lil’ Wayne, aka Reginae Carter, is an avid Lakers fan, who’s regularly spotted sitting courtside to support his beloved team. As it turns out, however, the 41-year-old rapper felt aggrieved by how he was treated by the Lakers’ security personnel during Thursday’s contest.
The five-time Grammy Award-winning artist took to Twitter to air his NSFW grievance:
Wow! Got treated like shit at the Laker game just now but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either bc of what i said abt AD or simply bc they don’t fwm which I been got that vibe from em as well so all good I get it. Fuck em. It isn’t what it isn’t. I’m used to it.

According to Weezy, it was his comments about Davis that put him in a bad light with the Lakers organization. This was after the rapper suggested that LA needed to trade AD away if they wanted to win a chip this season:

Apparently, this contentious statement did not sit well with the Lakers brass — at least according to Wayne.

All this brouhaha has the hip-hop icon back making headlines again. So much so, that Lil’ Wayne was asked to guest on Shannon Sharpe’s Undisputed program on Fox Sports 1. The Mr. Carter singer used the opportunity to shed more light on the incident:
Lil Wayne believes his comments on Anthony Davis may have caused him to be disrespected by security at Lakers game pic.twitter.com/I4ZnWpQ5FD

This doesn’t sound like this is an issue that will die down soon.
