The final day of the regular season is upon us. For their part, the Los Angeles Lakers need a win against the New Orleans Pelicans in order to secure the No. 8 seed in the West.
The Lakers are coming off a crucial 123-120 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis combining for 73 points. Both superstars, however, have been added to the injury report ahead of Sunday’s clash against Zion Williamson and Co.
As such, the fans want to know: Are LeBron James and Anthony Davis Playing today vs. the Pelicans?
Los Angeles Lakers News: LeBron James, Anthony Davis Probable to Play
Lakers fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Despite the fact that their two best players have been listed on the injury report, the silver lining is that both LeBron and Davis are considered probable to play.
LeBron is still dealing with a left ankle issue, while AD continues to nurse a left eye contusion. Both of them played through these their respective injuries on Friday against Memphis, and we fully expect them to do the same on Sunday — especially with what’s at stake.
Brandon Ingram Questionable to Play
As for the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has been deemed questionable to play due to a left knee bone contusion. The 26-year-old has been closing in on his return to action since going down in late March. The Pelicans may want to let their star forward play on Sunday to help with his fitness ahead of the postseason. Either way, this will be a situation worth monitoring as tip-off draws closer.
However, with regard to the question of are LeBron James and Anthony Davis Playing today vs. the Pelicans, the answer is that it would be a bit of a shock if they do not.
