The depleted Minnesota Timberwolves frontcourt could get even thinner this Tuesday when they take on the reigning NBA champions Denver Nuggets at home. Minnesota big man Naz Reid appeared to have suffered a head injury in the first half of Monday night’s game against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City and was later ruled out for the rest of the game by Minnesota.
Naz Reid In Danger Of Missing Minnesota Timberwolves’ Clash Against The Nuggets
Reid’s injury doesn’t bode well for his chance to play against the Nuggets. Already missing both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves could potentially have three big men unavailable for the Denver game if Reid gets ultimately sidelined. The hope for Minnesota is that Reid will just be fine and be ready to go against the Nuggets.

Reid is having a fantastic stretch, as he is taking advantage of the increased minutes he’s getting amid Towns’ absence. Over the last five games, Reid has put up averages of 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from behind the arc.
If Reid is forced to sit out the Denver game, the Timberwolves will likely get Luka Garza more minutes and perhaps a starting spot at the five position versus the Nuggets.

Before he exited the meeting with the Jazz, Reid was able to provide Minnesota with 17 points and four rebounds in just 17 minutes of action to help the Timberwolves pull off a 114-104 victory.
