For FOX Sports personality Doug Gottlieb, Ice Cube should have a Big3 offer ready on the table for Np. 11 NC State Wolfpack star and March Madness sensation DJ Burns Jr.
“Ice Cube should offer this dude a big check. He can actually play in the Big 3,” Gottlieb posted on X after watching Burne dominate the Duke Blue Devils in the Elite Eight round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
It can be recalled that Ice Cube revealed that his 3-on-3 basketball league had an offer for the Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark, though, it remains to be seen whether she would sign the reportedly $5 million (via TMZ Sports).
DJ Burns, NC State Wolfpack Keep on Rolling in 2024 NCAA Tournament
Burns’ post-college priority must be to find a way to play in the NBA, but he’s likely to get good money from the Big 3 if such a deal comes to fruition. Speaking of which, the only priority right now for Burns is to help the NC State Wolfpack win it all in the Big Dance.
Against the Blue Devils, Burns pummeled Duke’s defense for 29 points on 13/19 shooting, helping NC State prove that its upset win over the school from Durham in the quarterfinals of the 2024 ACC Tournament was no fluke.
“I’ll say like I’ve been saying the whole tournament. When I stop having fun with basketball, I’ll stop playing,” Burns said after the game (via ESPN). “There’s just been a total switch in our commitment. Nobody’s being late to things. Nobody’s being a problem on the court. Everybody’s come together.”
NC State, which is about to make its first appearance in the Final Four since 1983, will now be preparing for another tough assignment, this time versus Zach Edey and the No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers in the national semis.
