Jalen Brunson continues to prove to the New York Knicks that they were right to invest over a hundred million in him back in the summer of 2022. On Thursday night, Brunson put on a show on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Sure the Knicks were just against the lottery-bound Blazers, but the 45-point performance of Brunson was nothing to scoff at. New York Knicks and NBA fans in general took notice of Brunson’s scoring outburst and flooded the timeline with reactions to his masterpiece on the floor.
New York Knicks Star Jalen Brunson Has Twitter Losing Its Mind Over 45-Point Eruption Vs. Blazers
Brunson lit up X (formerly Twitter) with his scoring barrage versus the Blazers. He shot poorly from the 3-point area where he went just 2/10 on the night, but inside the arc, he pretty much got whatever he wanted. He was 14/30 overall from the floor and 15/17 from the free-throw line.
“Jalen Brunson is at the “quiet 45 point night” portion of stardom,” said @Kazeem.

“Nice ovation for Josh Hart because of his time in Portland and … never mind, Jalen Brunson gets a bigger ovation. Just a lot of Knicks fans here,” reported Steve Popper of Newsday Sports.
