After several seasons playing in the NBA, Luka Doncic has established himself as one of the game’s most dominant players. But after a monster triple-double he posted in a Dallas Mavericks win over the Utah Jazz, the All-Star has broken new ground by setting a couple of records.
In that particular game, Doncic dropped 29 points on 41 percent shooting from the field, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists to help Dallas get the 115-105 win over Utah. One-time NBA champion Kyrie Irving added 27 points and five rebounds, while P.J. Washington contributed 16 points and four boards.
The Jazz, meanwhile, had Lauri Markkanen lead the team with 34 points and seven rebounds. John Collins posted 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Collin Sexton made 20 points on 53 percent shooting from the field.
The win helped Dallas take hold of the sixth seed in the Western Conference as they now have 42 wins and 29 losses, putting them in a tie with the Sacramento Kings. The Jazz, on the other hand, are in 12th place with a 29-43 record.

Dončić also became the second-youngest player to 75 triple-doubles in NBA history at just 25 years and 26 days old, per @EliasSports.

“Luka Dončić recorded 29 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists in Utah tonight for his 75th career triple-double, making him one of nine players in NBA history to reach 75 triple-doubles. He is now one shy of tying James Harden for the eighth-most triple-doubles in NBA history (76),” Mavs PR tweeted.
“Dončić became the second-fastest player to 75 triple-doubles in terms of games played, doing so in 392 games played, per EliasSports,” Mavs PR added.
The fact that Doncic managed to achieve three records with just one triple-double is a testament to his skill and talent in the NBA. The scary thought here is he’s just starting his prime in the league.
With these feats, Doncic has solidified his reputation as one of the best all-around players in league history. And as the regular season comes to an end, expect the Mavericks star to play better in the playoffs.
